5 Rhythms (A Free Dance Experience)
Friday November 1st 6:00-7:30pm
with Victoria
Join us in this safe space to practice intrinsic movement as a way to feel our feelings, heal our hearts, and set our wild spirits free.
The 5 Intrinsic Rhythms of the body (inspired by breath, heartbeat, digestive system, circulatory system, and stillness), were influenced by indigenous and eastern philosophy and later defined and practiced by dancer Gabrielle Roth, in the late 70s.
In this movement meditation, we learn to let down our walls and listen to the inner flowing intelligence of our being. We heal through movement and find a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us. The body’s unique intrinsic waves, patterns and rhythms are encouraged to surface as we move to the music specifically related to the 5 rhythms: breath, heartbeat, digestive, circulatory, and stillness.
Think dance improvisation meets spiritual trance dance! This experience will start with some basic breathwork to connect our mind and body, and then the music and movement will begin!
All are welcome. We will close the practice by circling up and doing some deep breathing. There will be some fresh fruit and snacks after to share in as well. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring an open heart as we embark on this magical journey together!

Want to learn more about yoga and yogic philosophy? Join our Yoga Book Club!
Instead of meeting monthly, we’ll get together weekly for 30-40 minutes, allowing us to dive deep into yoga and yogic philosophy at a relaxed pace. By discussing the same book over 4-6 weeks, we have the space to really absorb the material and explore how it can enhance our practice both on and off the mat. (Have to miss a week? No problem - join whenever you can, no pressure!)
Whether you're new to yoga philosophy or looking to deepen your understanding, we’ll work together to integrate these teachings into everyday life.
